What is Färgfabriken? a Brief Introduction: Färgfabriken is an art gallery that works in three different principal areas: art, architecture, and society. Our work creates the conditions for questioning, developing, and creating unexpected situations. Färgfabriken is a not-for-profit foundation. Our method uses all forms of art to produce exhibitions, symposiums, workshops, seminars, and publications, focusing on interesting artistry and processes. Our productions either illuminate tendencies in contemporary culture or simply communicate on their own terms. Färgfabriken gladly collaborates with others. For example, we work with independent curators or organizations to help them revitalize their operations. Färgfabriken is open to collaborations that bridge the gaps between different disciplines and interest groups. Our approach is to bring together experience, anarchy, and knowledge to generate creative meetings between art, culture, business, research, society, and education. Färgfabriken serves as a node where people and ideas are joined in new and unexpected constellations. Our mission is to work experimentally to accommodate the narrow, the playful, and the serious—and to use our exhibitions and projects to bring them to a broad public.
