The Friedrich Jürgenson Foundation was set up in 2000, in conjunction with the exhibition "Friedrich Jürgenson - from the Studio for Audioscopic Research" held at Färgfabriken the same year.

The foundation mainly functions as a unit to preserve and follow up on Jürgenson's work as a scientist in EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) and as an artist. Chairman of the board is Carl Michael von Hausswolff.
